Jennifer Hudson was born on the 12th of September in 1981 in Chicago, Illinois. She is both a singer and actress. Though her struggle isn’t that interesting, she had set an example for women to follow her dream. At the age of 7, she got a kick start in singing by performing with the church choir and community theatres. She got eliminated from American Idol in 2004-05, yet she won Grammy Awards for self-debuted album in 2008. During the same year her mother, brother and nephew were murdered, and after that, she and her elder sister started Julian D. King Gift Foundation, in honor of her nephew which would provide Christmas gifts and school supplies to needy families. She became the first African-American singer to appear on the cover page of Vogue Magazine and have many awards like Academy Award, Golden Globe Award, BAFTA Award, and many more.

Beyonce

Beyonce Knowles, a singer, actress, and songwriter, was born on 4th September 1981. She started her career at a very young by participating in the local talent shows related to singing and dancing and has won many awards. She and her childhood friend Kelly Rowland went for an audition for an all-girl entertainment group at the age of 8. After that they formed a group and started auditioning to get into the company when nothing was going right, her father left his job to manage the group which led to the separation of the family, but in 1996 their family reunited and within a short period of time they got the contract from Columbia Records. After that, she started her solo career with the self debuted album Dangerously in Love, with which she acquired many awards and her fame went to a whole new level. She has won 23 Grammy Awards in total.

Gabourey Sidibe

An American actress, Gabourey Sidibe was born on 6th May 1983 in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. She got the Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead award for the first film ‘Precious’, where she played the role of precious who got rapped by her own father and became a mother at the age of 16 years. Despite people telling her to quit the film industry because of her weight she ignored them and stood firm on her decision of entering in industry. In 2017 she was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and went through the bariatric surgery to lose weight, and now she has lost almost 50% of her weight. 

Meagan Good 

The actress born on  8th August 1981, has started her career as a child actor at the age of 4 and appeared on many television shows. At the age of 13, she did her first film, Friday (Genre- Comedy). She starred in the film Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues and later she starred in Venom, One Missed Call, Saw V, The Unborn, and the DC Comics’ Shazam.  She was once criticized for her dressing on an event where she was presenting the BET Award for Best Gospel Artist for which she expressed her sadness. 

Keke Palmer

Keke Palmer, the actress, singer, songwriter, and rapper, was born on 26th August 1993 in Harvey, Illinois. She released her first debut album So Uncool on September 18, 2007, though it wasn’t listed on the US Billboard 200, it successfully made its way to the R&B Chart at 85th position. After that, she pursued her career in acting with Barbershop 2: Back in Business in 2004, and she got her breakthrough in 2006 with the Akeelah and the Bee. After that, she released her many albums and starred in many movies and have won awards for the same.

Naturi Naughton

Naturi Naughton is an American singer, actress, and songwriter born on 20th May 1984 in East Orange, New Jersey. At first, she was a member of R&B’s great group 3LW, but after some time she was replaced. She gained her fame from her role as Lil’Kim in Notorious. On 25th August 2009, she released her first solo soundtrack  Fame, which was peaking on the UK Singles Chart at NO.33. She also appeared in the trending American Musical Hairspray for three years. She has set an example for everyone to dream and to make dreams real by working hard. She decided on her goal of becoming an actress and singer at the age of 5.
