The Possession Of Hannah Grace Review, Cast, And Storyline

One month after Halloween 2018 we get an amazing horror movie. I don’t know why they didn’t release this on Halloween, its probably on of the best horror movies of 2018. Written by Brian Sieve and directed by Diederik Van Rooijen, The trailer when released last month, I didn’t know how to feel about it. Another movie that follows exorcism, just like every other horror movie now. Well after watching it I am still confused. First thing is the movie is okay to say the least, its not like a great horror film. Its filled with cheap scares and loopholes.

The Possession of Hannah Grace review

One of the best scenes of the movie is in the first five minutes. It should have set the tone for the rest of the movie but it doesn’t, and the movie kind of starts falling of until the end. The ending itself was very lackluster, there was too much build up for nothing. Well, its not all bad it does have some things going for it. Especially the feeling of being very closed, there is literally one person working in this big morgue. So the feeling of relief that comes when another character shows up is not here. There are a lot of thrilling and tense moments as well, which is good. But its nothing we haven’t seen before, nothing that will put it above any other horror film.

The actors have done an amazing job though, with what they were given to work with. Shay Mitchell did really good as the main character, the character of Hannah Grace was interesting as well. It would have been better if they explored a little more, the actor did a good job playing her as well. Her looks were really creepy as well, the way she moves and it made the cricking sounds. And when she looked at the characters or the camera it was all very creepy. But it wasn’t like scary, you weren’t actually scared by anything, the jump scares might make you jump. But that was all just a jump scare galore and make you creeped out sometimes.
