This had been the debate of ages whether or not the Instagram app notifies taking screenshots. However, it’s not a mystery anymore as Instagram has rolled out this feature in its beta version. And this feature will soon be available to all of us.
How will the notification work?
Instagram has supposedly revealed another feature that notifies people when somebody takes a screenshot of their Story posts. The security highlight will basically put a star-formed symbol beside the individual’s name. The symbol will show up in the Story Views segment. Indeed, Instagram will alert you the first time when you take a screenshot of another person’s story.
With this feature being rolled out, all the stalkers should be cautious before leaving any mark. Now, your friends will know when you will screenshot their picture or screen-record their videos.
How To Be Safe
Luckily, you can still take the screenshot without revealing your identity. All you have to do is turn on the flight mode before taking the screenshot.
When this is a bad news for all the stalkers out there, or the lovers, or silent-admirers who used to capture and save all the good pictures of their crush. This is also a good news for everyone who was unaware of the fact that they are being screenshotted. Now, they will know their stalker and maybe this will lead to something good!
What Is More?
Instagram is also reported to test a new Regram feature soon. It will give clients a chance to share open posts from different public profiles on their Story. Instagram affirmed the test in an announcement to the site and stated, “We’re always testing ways to make it easier to share any moment with friends on Instagram.” It resembles the element is as of now accessible to few clients with a more extensive rollout supposedly soon.
